A short film on Ice Diving for a Large Group of Disabled Divers was made in February 2012 and it is presenting five divers after spinal cord injury (SCI) and their able bodies while diving under the ice in the Slovenian lake Rudnisko jezero.
Divers are members of IAHD Adriatic from Slovenia a member of CMAS. Diving was organized together with the Institute of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana with the purpose of collecting data related to hypothermia of divers after SCI.
The first unofficial results show that with good preparation for the dive, divers with SCI are not more at risk than any other recreational diver. This is the first such action of its kind in the world, as people after SCI injury have been confined to warmer waters and environment only.
