UNESCO Meeting in Paris 2016

The seventh meeting of the scientific and technical advisory body for underwater cultural heritage took place at UNESCO headquarters on 10 May 2016.

 

The CMAS  Scientific Committee participated in the meeting and the exchange session for permanent delegations on underwater cultural heritage.

 

A further meeting of the UNESCO UNITWIN Underwater Archaeology Network took place at UNESCO Headquarters on 11 and 12 May 2016. The UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archaeology aims to increase capacity in the participating countries by connecting in a formal way universities and professional training institutions working in the field of underwater archaeology. CMAS has now an official observer status and support the UNITWIN network.
