CMAS Red Sea Symposium

11st - 12nd May 2018 Hurghada, EGY

The Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation (EDLF) and the World Underewater Federation CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) in collaboration with the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archaeology are organizing the “International Red Sea Symposium“ on 11-12 May 2018 in Hurghada, Egypt.

The symposium will be organized in the framework of the International Year of the Reefs 2018. Accordingly, divers, scientist and researchers from several countries will participate in the Symposium, which will focus on the biology, geology and underwater cultural heritage of the Red Sea. On the other hand, it is a pleasure to welcome Ms Tatiana Villegas from the UNESCO office in Cairo, who will give a presentation about the protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage in Egypt.
