With the 7th World Cup and Europarty in Hungary the 2012 championship season continues

Great change for this first competition of the world cup. The "historic" site of Hajdúszoboszló had been forsaken this year for the sake of the town of EGER. Indeed, a meeting of the BOD was programmed the same weekend and it was natural to have it together on the same site. Thus, Iván NYÍRI, President of the Hungarian Federation, Vice President of the CMAS and Achille FERRERO, President of the CMAS were accompanied by all the attending members for the opening ceremony.

Of course, the clubs were very satisfied to return to this beautiful city of EGER and to this swimming pool which already knew several international championships. On the whole, 45 clubs of 15 countries had answered the invitation. There were 210 swimmers who faced each other during these two days of competition.

This first round was interesting on the sporting level. It is necessary for us to precise, of course the performance of the Ukrainian junior Anastasiia Antoniak, Aqualeader club of Kiev who established a new Junior World Record on 200 m SF with 1 ' 32 '' 74. Beautiful reward for the team of organization, directed by János Moravecz to see world records established already at the first round. This race of 200m was also extremely disputed at the men with max Lauschus of the club of Rostock who swam this distance with a time of 1 ' 21 '' 57. Max has won also the 400 m SF in front of Dénes Kanyó. These two swimmers also carry out interesting performances.

In short, this first weekend suggests an interesting competition season rich in events and performances.
