To CMAS Federations - Medical Commission Request

Dear President,

The CMAS medical commission now has active participants from Turkey, Ireland, Egypt, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Finland, Luxembourg and The Netherlands.

During this time of the Sars-Covid-19 pandemic, together they are discussing the ways in which scuba diving and the effects Corona infection are connected. The team are exchanging information and are preparing medical statements that CMAS CMB can issue.

If your country do not have a medical representative on this team please consider asking one of your doctors to join the CMAS medical commission. This will greatly aid the information flow. The most common lingua franca in the medical world is English which is also the working language of the commission. We will endeavour to have statements from the commission translated into the official languages of the CMAS, French and Spanish but this may not always be possible with the speed information is being presented during this time of crisis.
