Président Anna Arzhanova elected as a member of the Board of IWGA

During the SportAccord Convention in Belek (Turkey), the annual general meeting of the International World Games Association took place. CMAS President Anna Arzhanova was elected as a member of the Board for the next 4 years.
In her candidature speech, Anna underlined the importance of the IWGA, to be considered as the common launch platform of World Games for all the concerned sports to keep on achieving more visibility, more audience, more growth. “If elected — she said — I’ll commit my utmost efforts to pursue the goal of a continuous growth of the World Games, for the benefit of all our sport disciplines and of the sport movement in general.”
IOC member José Perurena (Spain) was elected as the new IWGA President, Max Bishop was reelected as Vice President, Lukas Hinder was also appointed as Treasurer of the IWGA by the delegates of its 36 member federations. A further member of the IWGA board will again be Tom Dielen. Anna Arzhanova (President of the World Underwater Federation) and Prof. Fumio Morooka (World Flying Disc Federation) were voted in as new Executive Committee members.
CMAS is member of the IWGA (www.theworldgames.org) and takes part in the World Games with Finswimming.
