Report of the Finswimming European Junior Championship - Szczecin, Poland
Finswimming 12.07.2013Tuesday 9th July,
All delegation was at 19h30 in floating Arena in SZCZECIN to participate at the opening ceremony of the 14 European junior championships.
The mayor of the city had some welcome words to all participants before the speech Robert NOWICZ, president of Polish federation and Ilias XIARCHOS, president of sport committee representing Ms Presidente of CMAS, who declared open these championships.
Day 1, 10th July, Day 2, 11th July
Already two days of competitions and it’s “raining” records. 7 junior’s world records and sometimes 2 or 3 athletes below the records.
R. GINIYATULIN (RUS), 100SF B and 50SF B (in heat and in finale) ; G. KOSINA (HUN) 100BF B ; K. BELOMESTNOVA (EST) 50SF G ; A. SKURLATOVA (RUS) 50SF G in Finale ; A ANTONIAK 400SF G. in Relay the female team of Russia established new record too.
During 10BF, the 3 athletes on the podium swam faster than previous WJR. It was the same on 400SF G today with the gold and silver medal.
Another encouraging sign, 3 athletes (GINIYATULIN, SKURLATOVA and ANTONIAK) are born in 1997 and thus more one year in junior !!
Also for table of medals. 10 countries win medals during these two days
