New Ocean Health Index Published

More than 65 scientists/ocean experts developed the Ocean Health Index,which was published this week.
They created an index comprising ten diverse public goals for a healthy coupled human-ocean system and calculated the index for every coastal country. The index can provide a powerful tool to raise public awareness, direct resource management, improve policy and prioritize scientific research around the world.
However, there is an urgent need to support authorities, universities, institutions and NGOs with the know-how of the CMAS family, because data from the underwater world only can be obtained by skin divers.
