I. Mediterranean Beach Games 2015 – Pescara, Italy

After 6 years, when it hosted the XVI edition of the Mediterranean Games in 2009, the city of Pescara will host the first edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games, which will be held from August 28 to September 6, 2015.

The aim of Pescara 2015 is to celebrate sport and culture through a unique and unforgettable event.
The athletes from the 24 countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea will be taking part to the competitions.
Finswimming will be an official sport in the competitions calendar. The races will be from 1st to 3rd September 2015.

The competitions of Fin Swimming will have a dual development:

1)     Pool Competitions with following events:
50 m AP – 50 m BF – 100 m SF – 100 m BF – 200 m SF – 200 m BF – 400 m SF
4×100 m SF – 4×50 m BF

2)     Open Water Competition with following events:
Individual:      4 Km SF        Men and Women
2 Km BF         Men and Women
Relay:             4x 2 km           Mixed

The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the expo pavilion of CCIAA near the Touristic Port of Pescara.
