CMAS CMB Comment

Dear friends,

We hope this note finds you and your families all well.

As we see some green shoots of progress in areas of the world as countries recover from the pandemic that has affected everybody, we in the CMAS are also trying to get some underwater sports activities re-started again.

We understand that athletes will require time to get competition fit again so the earliest any competition of note can happen is October.

The local competitions will be the first to happen followed by the continental championships, then followed by the world championships. As you can see on the CMAS Sports calendar we are hopeful of holding the European Finswimming Championships in Lignano, Italy, in October. Other competitions will follow and will be highlighted on our events calendar.

For any of the above to happen all local rules and regulations need to be strictly followed. Continental championships will ONLY take place when all borders, flights and travel restrictions are removed within the particular zone so that all affiliated countries will have the opportunity to participate.
