Board of CMAS on its 175th Meeting discusses improved anti-doping programme in the presence of Sportaccord's representative

The BoD Meeting among others dealt with;

• the mandatory compliance with all WADA Rules and Regulations by all CMAS member federations involved in any kind of sport. About the subject the Manager of Sportaccord's Doping-Free Sport Unit Ms. Francoise Dagouret made a presentation to the members of the Board,
  
  
• the affiliation request of the Philippine Association of Underwater Activities. PAUA was unanimously accepted to CMAS, into its Technical and Sport Committees, with voting rights in the Sport Committee,
  
  
• the meaning and substance of the so called "geographic areas", reiterating, that they exist only as geographic term, but having no legal foundation,
  
  
• the approval of the final championship programme for 2012 and tentative programme for the year 2013,
  
  
• Board discussed possible homologation of mono-fins from reputable and bona-fide producers,
  
  
• CMAS Board of Directors - answering positively to the suggestion of several commissions - decided to hold zone championships every two years and have world championships every fourth years.
