On the 1st October 2011 in Kas, Antalya, Turkish athlete Devrim Cenk Ulusoy executed a successful dive in the free immersion discipline of CMAS to 80 meters bottom limit. It is - after being homologated by the BoD of the World Underwater Federation/CMAS - the new world record.
A day later, on the 2nd October the athlete executed another successful record attempt in constant weight with fin. This time the depth was 87 meters. It is the new world record after CMAS Board will homologate it at its November Meeting provided doping results are in both cases satisfactory.
CMAS Commissioners's (Mr. Ivan NYIRI, Vice President of CMAS and Mr. Xavier DURAN SOLER, President of CMAS Sports Committee) reports were prepared and sent to Headquarters as prescribed in the respective rules governing World Record Attempts.
