LeuciSoverato1.jpgOn the September 9th 2011 well known Italian athlete Homar Leuci of FIPSAS in the CMAS Constant Weight Apnoea discipline has achieved a world record with a depth of 86 meters, overtaking his own 2009 world record of 84 meters. The successful attempt was held in Soverato Bay, Calabria-Italy under the supervision of CMAS commissioners Neven Lukas - personally at the depth of 86 meters and Stefano Floris, as an emergency substitute of Mr. Jean Xifro, experiencing a last minute health problem. Commissioners sent the necessary report, video and all prescribed papers to CMAS Headquarters in Rome for the homologation of the record. . The new world record will be accepted as official by the CMAS Board of Directors after the satisfactory doping result are obtained.
