Italian athlete Homar Leuci (FIPSAS) achieved a new CMAS Constant Weight Apnea world record with 86 meters depths

On the September 9th 2011 well known Italian athlete Homar Leuci of FIPSAS in the CMAS Constant Weight Apnoea discipline has achieved a world record with a depth of 86 meters, overtaking his own 2009 world record of 84 meters. The successful attempt was held in Soverato Bay, Calabria-Italy under the supervision of CMAS commissioners Neven Lukas - personally at the depth of 86 meters and Stefano Floris, as an emergency substitute of Mr. Jean Xifro, experiencing a last minute health problem. Commissioners sent the necessary report, video and all prescribed papers to CMAS Headquarters in Rome for the homologation of the record. The new world record will be accepted as official by the CMAS Board of Directors after the satisfactory doping result are obtained.
