The 17th Underwater Hockey Elite World Championship was celebrated in Coimbra from 17th to 27th of August 2011

After a long time professional teams from all the continents were gathered for a great championship and had the possibility to play underwater hockey at the highest level within the last years.
12 countries, 18 teams and more than 200 athletes competed during 10 days at the Complexo Olimpico de piscinas de Coimbra.
The final results were as follows:

The medals were awarded by Mr. Xavier Duran, President of the Sport Commission, Thomas de Trébons, President of the Underwater Hockey Commission and Ricardo Manuel Ramos José, President of FPAS.
