CMAS presented a special award to the Tichy family to commemorate the very special commitment given by Walter Tichy to CMAS. Walter who we all knew and loved was a former President of the Technical Committee, Vice President of CMAS and Board member. Walter passed away last year and was honoured for his commitment to CMAS and to Diving. The photo shows the award being accepted by his son Georg Tichy on behalf of the Tichy family. It was given to him by Evelin Dworak on behalf of Mr. Achille Ferrero, President of CMAS and Mr. Kevin O’Shaughnessy, President of the CMAS Technical Committee, who could not attend the ceremony.
