Letter from the President of CMAS to all the Presidents of Federations affiliated to the Sports Committee
Dear Sirs,
On the occasion of the European Finswimming Championship ( Lignano, Italy ) it was spread the information that there were no anti doping tests.
THIS INFORMATION IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE.
Tests were carried out according to indications ( modalities and quantities ) sent by SportAccord.
I may confirm you that the Confederation is the first organisation, among the non Olympic ones, to carry out complete urine-blood test.
As concerns then Lignano, some athletes living in the village, have been tested also in the days before the competitions too.
The news was well known by everybody.
Taken into account the seriousness of the statements, the Confederation, as defence of its image, reserves the right to prosecute the responsible of this false information within prescribed time established by current law.
