Three free diving world records have been broken in Croatia

Underwater Sport free diving 23.06.2021

This year despite all of the covid based difficulties the following good news events happened. During the CMAS Croatian Nationals in March, which were held in Sisak, Vanja Peles and Mirela Kardasevic broke three World records.

  • Vanja Peles broke the WR in DNF to 220m
  • Mirela Kardasevic in DNF to 206m, and in DYNB to 231m.

Last year in November, they both broke the DNF WR which was then for Vanja at 215m and for Mirela at 200m.

We will now have both athletes at the World indoor CMAS championship at Belgrade, so we are looking forward to seeing them compete.
