Authentic Big Blue

The International Authentic Big Blue Dive Tournament took place for the third consecutive year from September 22 to 28, in Amorgos.
 
The occasion of its 1st event in 2017 was the idea of a revival of the legendary film "The Big Blue", which was loved by the public.
 
Authentic Big Blue was organized in September 2018, 30 years after the release of the film. Its central purpose was to serve as a point of reference for the world's apnea diving community. This year, the Authentic Big Blue event honored 36 athletes from 12 countries. The co-organizers of ABB2019 are the Municipality of Amorgos and the South Aegean Region.
The permanent partner is the Amorgos Diving Center and the event is held under the approval of the Hellenic Federation of Underwater Activities and Sport Fishing
The greek national organization is the great sponsor of the 3rd edition providing all the needed to spread the word about the tournament throughout the world. Authentic Big Blue is not just a sport event but a complete experience combining also tourism, culture, gastronomy throughout its parallel events keeping alive the impact of the mythical movie.
